No amusement park in Japan stacks more rides in one place: Greenland spreads over 70 attractions across its green Kumamoto hills, from a 105-metre Ferris wheel and coasters that pull space-shuttle-grade acceleration to grand carousels, splashing river rides and a small city of gentler machines for younger riders. The scale is the point — queues spread thin across the huge grounds, more than fifteen restaurants keep everyone fed, and families burn a full day without repeating a ride. Kyushu's big-day-out park, an hour or so from both Kumamoto and Fukuoka.

Thrill-seekers, coaster collectors and small children all find a full day's worth without crossing paths much.
Entry gets you into the park, and rides run on either an unlimited free pass or a pay-per-ride ticket booklet sold at the park — most visitors planning more than a handful of rides take the pass and stop counting. Note the park takes cash and cards only, with no ATMs inside.
Greenland sits at Arao on the Kumamoto–Fukuoka border: from JR Omuta Station (reachable from both cities in about an hour) local buses run to the park gates. Drivers get vast parking lots, and outside food is welcome if you'd rather picnic between coasters.
One of Kyushu's best — a large share of the 70-plus attractions are built for young riders, from the great carousel to kiddie coasters and game pavilions, so the park works for mixed-age families where one child wants terror and the other wants teacups.
