Watch Sagami Bay recreated indoors and out at Enoshima Aquarium, set right on the Shonan sand with Enoshima island to one side and Mount Fuji across the water. The great Sagami Bay tank churns with the local sea's own silver schools, the Jellyfish Fantasy Hall drifts in near-darkness like something dreamed, and dolphins perform with island and mountain as their backdrop. Between the showpieces, Asian small-clawed otters and capybaras handle the soothing — an aquarium that works equally as a family outing and a date.

It's about three minutes on foot from Katase-Enoshima Station on the Odakyu Enoshima Line, and roughly ten from either Enoshima Station on the Enoden or Shonan-Enoshima Station on the monorail — an easy day trip on the Odakyu line from Shinjuku.
Naturally — the aquarium sits by the causeway to Enoshima, so most visitors fold it into an island day: the shrine paths, the sea-cave and lighthouse across the bridge, then the tanks and the Shonan sunset on the way back.
