teamLab Biovortex Kyoto is the collective's newest museum and Japan's largest digital art space, a short walk from Kyoto Station. More than 50 artworks explore Environmental Phenomena — works that exist only through the light, air and movement around them — from the newly unveiled Megaliths and Transient Abstract Life and Return to whole worlds that respond to your presence. Two of teamLab's educational projects live here too: Athletics Forest, a multi-dimensional creative athletic space, and Future Park, where visitors create together.

The museum stands in the Higashikujo district just south-east of Kyoto Station — about a ten-minute walk from the station's Hachijo East exit. It slots easily before or after a day among the temples, since almost every route through the city passes the station.
Very — alongside the main galleries it houses two of teamLab's educational projects: Athletics Forest, a creative athletic space kids climb and bounce through, and Future Park, where drawings come to life on shared walls. The immersive rooms themselves need no explanation at any age.
