A city built for children to run: at KidZania Koshien, kids clock in to around 100 real jobs — pilot, firefighter, hotelier, baker — using genuine equipment in a two-thirds-scale town, earning the park's own KidZo currency to spend or save like grown-ups. It's play with the satisfying weight of the real thing, and the uniforms alone are worth the photos. The city stands beside the famous Koshien Stadium in Nishinomiya, an easy train ride from both Osaka and Kobe.

Children pick from about 100 jobs and services — each in its own miniature workplace with real tools and uniforms — work a shift, and get paid in KidZo, the city's own currency, to spend in its shops or bank for the next visit. The learning about how society fits together happens entirely by stealth.
The city is built for children up to 15, and every group needs both a child and an accompanying adult — grown-ups can't enter on their own, and kids can't be left solo. Parents watch from the sidelines while the little professionals get on with their careers.
KidZania Koshien sits in the LaLaport Koshien complex beside the legendary Koshien Stadium in Nishinomiya — about 15 minutes from Osaka's Umeda or 20 from Kobe's Sannomiya on the Hanshin Main Line to Koshien Station, then a short walk.
Activities normally run in Japanese — which rarely slows children down, since the jobs are hands-on — but every Wednesday is English Day, when about half the activities are held in English. If language matters to your crew, plan the visit around a Wednesday.
